Dr Khalid Anis (Course Director)

Khalid Anis is a general dental practitioner with extensive experience across all segments of dentistry. He has worked as a clinical director of dentistry and a consultant in public health and has acted as an advisor to the Department of health on a number of dentistry related issues. Khalid graduated in Dentistry from the University of Birmingham and gained an Msc in Dental Public health from the Eastman Dental Institute and a Diploma in Dental Public Health from the Royal College of Surgeons (England). He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and was an awarded an MBE for services to dentistry.

Khalid has mentored a number of students wishing to enter dental school and has helped with interview technique for the last 15 years. Khalid has extensive media experience, undertaking regular media training and has appeared on national and local media.

Dr Basil Hatahet (Course Director)

Basil Hatahet has been a full time clinician in his own orthodontic practice for over 10 years, as well as practicing as an orthodontic associate in other practices in greater Manchester.Basil received his MSc in oral surgery from the University of Manchester, and a fellowship of the royal college of surgeons of Edinbrugh. Basil is on the specialist orthodontic list of the General Dental Council.

Every year Basil helps several dental school candidates to get through dental school selection process during their work experience period in his practice.
